Specialized personal training to give a competitive edge

It seems many student and adult athletes are looking for sport specific training in Las Vegas these days. But sport specific training is a misnomer. There is no such thing as sport specific training. Unless you mean practice. After all, lifting weights in a certain way will not directly improve your baseball swing or pitching mechanics. Only working on your swing or hours in the bullpen will do that. That’s why the sport specific training we offer is different.

We train student and adult athletes for enhanced sports performance. This means no bizarre weighted experimental exercises based on a specific sports movement. These unnatural exercises often end in injury.

Student Athlete Sports Performance training is available with a student-athlete membership at Las Vegas Sports Performance. Certified Personal Trainer Rob Martinez played competitive sports at the collegiate level and understands what you need to do to play at the next level. As both a coach and personal trainer, he has taken many athletes from the high school level and helped them to make the jump to NCAA athletics programs.

Your Sports Performance training begins with a Functional Movement Screen assessment to help develop a baseline of your strength and movement capabilities. With a mix of cross training and sport specific movements and exercises, Coach Rob will help you succeed in reaching your goals, from making varsity to winning a scholarship to signing a contract.

One of the main focuses in the development of young athletes is injury reduction. Through careful assessment with the Functional Movement Screen, Coach Rob will help ensure a long playing career for your son or daughter. 100% injury free is the goal as safety is always the number one concern at Las Vegas Sports Performance. However, if there have been previous injuries, special care is taken to strengthen the affected area and avoid aggravation and re-injury at all costs.
