I am completely floored and utterly humbled to be honored by Vegas Seven Magazine as the Best Preps Trainer Las Vegas 2017.
Las Vegas Sports Performance began five years ago because I saw an opportunity to help more people achieve their fitness goals. In my years playing competitively at the varsity and collegiate levels, as well as the years I spent coaching Junior Legion baseball, I have seen too many athletes training and operating under some serious misconceptions about fitness. Additionally, strength and mobility training, as well as metabolic conditioning, play as important a role as practice, in becoming a better athlete. At LVSP, we focus heavily on range of motion, strength, and injury prevention. I know firsthand how frustrating it is to be held back by injury not only in competition but just in daily life.
Fitness is not a 28-day challenge. It is a lifestyle
I strive to help everyone I train to gain a better understanding of their body, how it moves, and how they can improve, aide the healing process (if they’ve suffered injury) or help strengthen their bodies and increase joint mobility and flexibility to reduce the risk of injury in the future. Being able to change the conversation about fitness is something I am very passionate about. Too many people have the wrong ideas about what fitness is and how to go about improving their health.
Let’s train smarter
So here’s the deal: Fitness is not a 28-day challenge. It is a lifestyle that encompasses the whole of how you move, feel, and even think. By approaching athletic training in this way, I have been fortunate to help many athletes at the high school and on up through the professional levels, reach their goals in a safe and sustainable way.
But the true beauty of it is that this approach to fitness applies to anyone and everyone. Functional movement training is so personalized to your body that there is nothing else like it. In short, analyzing and optimizing your body’s movements through a personal training program built around the Functional Movement Screen will have you feeling and moving better every day, no matter what your ability level or athletic inclinations.
